Insanity Crash: A New Capter Dawns

As this blog has been a very exciting time and very successful endeavour, I have some rather exciting news to shout upon this blog. Last Thursday I was in work when I received a rather cryptic email from a company which their name a recognised but did not instantly click as to why. I emailed back with my work telephone number and within five minutes I was talking on the phone to “Karl” at HarperCollins.

It turns out that not only do some of my mates read this, but also, rather surprisingly, do some other interested parties. They spoke to me for a while about my plans for the blog, and all the while I was wondering “What are they wanting?”. As it became clear, they were interested in working with me. Over this weekend, unbeknown to my closest, I was writing some articles for them to look at, based on my planned series “What is Wrong With the World: How to Fix it” and they were impressed to say the least.

Yesterday I was called by “Fiona” who formally offered me a contract to write a book in the vein of the “Timewaster Letters” about my feelings on what is wrong with the world. And it is with a heavy heart that I must say that this means the end for The Crashing Sound of Insanity, at least for the foreseeable future.

It has been fun, and at times, infuriating.
