Jet Lag

The time difference between Ontario and Scotland is 5 hours. They are behind "us" 5 hours, so at 5pm (when I leave work) it is 12pm (when I used to have grilled cheese sandwiches). Of course, I you noticed, I have been away for a bit, getting married. So that went well. But here's the thing - three weeks in Canada really messes up your body clock.

Take yesterday for example. I woke at 7.30am UK time, which is an abhorrent 2.30am in Canada. A few times when I was away, I was going to bed at that time (most interestingly, on my wedding night were I didn't get to sleep until after 4.30am, ahem) so it is a big rude awakening. But yesterday I managed it, and made it into the office for 9am on the button.

This morning, however, I shit the bed - not literally, but I didn't make it into work until 11am. That, my friends, is the worst time keeping I have ever had.

Jet lag is shit, and I am still working on it. But the second day is the worst, and I am about to go home to a paneer curry and my puppy. And then to bed.
